Punk Rock Bowling returns to Downtown Las Vegas Events Center this Memorial Day Weekend 2020. The annual festival you don’t want to miss will feature legendary headliners, including a Las Vegas-first, Circle Jerks.
The 2020 Punk Rock Bowling lineup promises three days of rallying and raucous good times. Jump into the weekend with hardcore punk rockers Circle Jerks.
Punk Rock Bowling 2020 Headliner: Circle Jerks
Los Angeles-natives, Circle Jerks have been shredding chords and composing anti-establishment lyrics since 1979. The group started playing at the same place, “The Church” of Hermosa Beach, punk icons like Black Flag and the Descendents first emerged.
The band rapidly built popularity, paving the way for the hardcore punk rock genre for generations to come.
Former Black Flag lead singer, Keith Morris combined his talents with guitarist Greg Hetson, ala Red Kross, to initiate the beginnings of what would be an internationally renowned name. Later, their first album “Group Sex” would become a landmark for the genre as a whole.
Circle Jerks were known for being in the thick of the original punk movement of the 80s. In fact, Circle Jerks were featured in a groundbreaking documentary, still preserved by the National Film Registry, where they performed to a pit of chaos.
Moreover, the group would go on to influence many future bands of the same ilk, not to mention the Offspring and Dropkick Murphys.
While some members have come and gone, Morris and Hetson have remained to spearhead the group to this day. After a long stint with Bad Religion, 1983-2013, Hetson planned his return for the 40th-anniversary tour of their very first album.

Circle Jerks actively tours worldwide with its core musicians, leaders Morris and Hetson. They began their “Group Sex” anniversary shows late in 2019. Their performance on Saturday, May 23, will be their debut at Punk Rock Bowling in Downtown Las Vegas.

Punk Rock Bowling is an annual music and bowling festival and gathering of your closest 15,000 friends.
This year 42 bands will play over 3-days at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center’s two stages. Popular punk and ska band Madness will finish out the weekend Monday night.
